Primary Role: We are looking for construction foreman candidates with strong carpentry and supervisory skills with the potential to move into a project management role in the future. Ideal candidates are adaptable, talented and experienced applicants who can lead others and thrive working in remote environments.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License with clean drivers abstract
- Standard First Aid (preferred)
- Fall Arrest Certification (preferred)
- CSTS 2020 (preferred)
- Journeyman certification an asset (not required)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in construction carpentry roles (less experience may be considered at a lower wage rate)
- Hands-on experience with building and renovating modular structures at remote locations is ideal. Other transferable experience in carpentry, plumbing, mechanical or electrical will be considered.
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test prior to employment and work/live in a drug and alcohol-free remote environment for up to 4 weeks at a time.

- Must be able to live in a remote camp environment for up to 4 weeks at a time working 12-hour shifts
Responsibilities
- Manage and direct installation of modular structures in a remote environment including oversight of plumbing, mechanical and electrical trades.
- Carpentry work on mobile structures, including installing modular buildings, light industrial construction, and renovations to existing structures
- Able to safely use and maintain various small construction tools such as drills, skill saws, reciprocating saws, table saws, small hand tools etc.
- Implement Summit’s Safety Management System and oversee compliance of team
